Good Sports News: Steven Tyler Donates Car to Charity

There’s a lot of good out there, and it doesn’t always receive the attention it deserves. In an effort to be a part of the solution, I decided to report on the good that is out there in the world of sports. The Good Sports News clips here are a recap of what I publish on my Snapchat Monday-Thursday. Feel free to join along; you can find me @fisherjillian on all social media platforms!

Yes, this isn’t technically sports, but it happened at the same event as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Plus, I am a non-Patriot fan living in Boston on the day of their Championship parade. All sports news today was about that, and it was hurting my heart a little.

Hi everyone! Today’s good sports news actually comes from Steven Tyler.

About a week ago, we were talking about Dale Earnhardt Jr., and the car he auctioned off for charity. Turns out there was more going on at that auction.

Steven Tyler auctioned off a 2012 Hennessey Venom GT – one of only 12 ever made and sold. He raised $800K.

He was raising money for Janie’s Fund, which is the singers initiative created in partnership with Youth Villages. Janie’s Fund’s mission is to bring hope and healing to young women who have suffered from abuse.

According to Tyler, they raised enough money to provide 20,000 days of therapeutic support to abused girls across America.

That is it for today’s good sports news. Thank you guys for watching!
